Travelling brings me back to myself,

Travelling can mend broken hearts,

Travelling can bring new friendships,

Travelling opens my heart again,

Travelling shows me a whole new world,

Travelling makes me discover the parts of myself that were unknown to me.

I started travelling in 2017 and since then my love for travelling has never gone away. I am a free spirit and travelling lights me up. Every time I need to get myself back, I choose to travel.

This one is about my trip to Ooty & Coonoor in 2017. I still have the memories as fresh as it was just yesterday. I went there twice and each time it was different. I went there with my friends and we had an amazing experience.

We tried everything that a girls trip should have, from sightseeing to auto rides between tea gardens, roaming in the markets, the toy train journey, the Ooty chocolates and banana chips, the swings in the gardens, the bus rides, the bonfire, having beer in the late night after a tiring day, having lunch in an open restaurant while it was raining, laughing a lot to eating a lot, to walking on the hilly streets for hours.

My first trip was in the spring season and another one in winters. The Doddabbeta peak is amazing in winters. After reaching the top you find a flea market full of stalls which sell food and cute items, as alive as a night market even in mornings. I missed the hot masala chana, Bhel and the hot filter coffee with the sunrise.

You can always rent a bike from local vendors but I find the auto rides in the city and bus rides from Ooty to Coonoor quite fascinating.

For stay, I always prefer to take a 3-Star hotel for one day and cheaper ones for the remaining days of the trip. It gives me a blend of luxury and budget travel together. If you have friends who have any type of contacts, always try to arrange stay through them. Otherwise booking hotels online is easy, I trust Goibibo, Yatra and MakeMyTrip.
