Romans and Vatican City

Rome was a city state, people living around rome were also called Romans.
Rome was a small city-state but Roman dictators expanded their empire
Western roman empire had ended before 8th century, but Eastern empire didn’t, hence Roman dictators were still there.
In the 8th century, another dictator came to invade, a war was fought, and the Eastern Roman Empire gave the papal states to popes.
The papal states were actually in Italy, now the people are called Italians, not Romans. But you can see the pope was able to acquire more than 1/4th of Italy.

The present map.

Peter started churches around rome, not in Vatican City. In the 4th century the dictator king Constantine The Great, started behaving like he loves Jesus. It says constantine wasn’t related to Roman dictators, as if. His father was a Roman military officer, hence a Roman dictator. He used religion as a strategy. He created the Eastern Roman Empire, and closed all the pagan temples and took the money from temple treasuries. He also changed his religion to become a Christian. He banned crucifixion, and made a church at the site where Jesus was crucified. He built a memorial in the Vatican City for saint Peter. Later in the 8th century, Roman dictators were able to buy the pope, so they did. The first monarch pope in 750 AD was ruling the Papal states from the city Rome, not Vatican City. The pope king moved from Rome to Vatican City, in 1929 after giving up the rest of the territory. They let him take Vatican City which was very close to Rome, so that the fake stories in the Bible could continue.
